The methods of incorporating the software (mostly Photoshop) to the photographic image-making processes exist on the photography stage for more than a decade now. I used to identify that kind of practices erroneously with the amateurish and cheesy trends during all those years, mainly due to the total lack of knowledge about the art photography world and very shallow understanding of this medium. Today I am feeling more and more confident that it is the direction for me but all my the ideas/actions are still scattered and ephemeral.
I am researching intensively at the moment, going through the achievements of many artists of the post-internet era, whose works manifest, in one way or another, quite radical understanding of contemporary art photography - as the fusion of many kinds of apparatuses and techniques, from very traditional analogue and cameraless, to very sophisticated cutting-edge technological solutions (augmented reality) and in combination with other traditional methods like painting or sculpture.
I've been trying different options based on the idea of using the parts of the software user interface as an element of the composition. It is all based on the instinctive and spontaneous moves right now but I keep coming to the same place in my practice since I started to experiment with those forms in July, so there must be something important for me in this method.
