During the Christmas break I dug out my old negative film reversal films and looked at them through the microscopic lens. The first image in the gallery below shows the tiny fragment of the area where the tree branches where recorded, the rest of the images are records of the film scratched with needle.
Not sure how and if those microscopic records and attempts to experiment with the film will feed into my practice. The time to do something off the main direction was right and the images are quite interesting so I surely did not waste time but for now this route is closed.
Microscopic view of the fragments of reversal film with and without scratches.
