One of the artists recommended but the Lens Culture reviewer was the Geraldo de Barros which I have not come across before. Very interesting experimental practice indeed. I particularly like the works where he cuts out the parts of the negative film resulting in the image composed of what was initially recorded and the black abstract areas. I can’t really work out how the images are made but the method make a very interesting results. The "Fotoformas" series is also great and it looks like the works from this series brought him the worldwide recognition.
