Rita Rodner (b.1976) is a Polish artist based in Northampton, England.

Her form-oriented, experimental, and primarily abstract works are a blend of alternative photographic methods and digital image-making processes. She also deals with the traditional mediums like painting and drawing.

She is interested in the world’s universal mechanisms, and the way they are adapted to human culture. Despite the roots in the rational knowledge about the fundamental structures of the physical and virtual world, her works are usually based on the instinctive decisions as well as relentless explorations and experimentations.

In her most recent innovative camera-less works, she creates the unique silver gelatin prints by exposing the photosensitive paper with the image from the projector or straight from the computer screen.

In these amalgamations of the physical and virtual parts of the contemporary reality, she demonstrates her practice primary objective -  to reveal the forms and structures beyond the imagination and expose the complexity of the world beneath its surface appearance.

Rita holds an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (Poland, 2002) and the MA in Photography from Falmouth University (UK, 2019). Her early works from the Rita Droga Rita series are in the collection of the Dolnoslaskie Towarzystwo Zachety Sztuk Pieknych.
